Guests are welcome to enjoy the conservatory,
as well as the garden, which has been developed over the last
25 years. It is divided into different secluded areas, linked
by paths and stepping stones. The borders are mixed, with
a variety of spring bulbs, perennials, roses and shrubs. The
garden is shaded by tall ash trees on the west. The border
nearest the stream has been left as a more natural woodland
area. There are several different seating areas for guests' use, including a swing seat in our walled garden.
We are happy for our guests to spend time at Hazel Cottage during the day, to rest or relax.
We serve Dorset cream teas (with home-made scones and jam) by arrangement, either in the garden or in the conservatory.
For lunches/evening meals, there is an award-winning pub/restaurant in the village within walking distance, and there are many other good places to eat in the vicinity.
